Celebrating Jen, Anton, and little Myko!

We celebrated Jennifer, Anton, and their little bundle of joy, Mykonos (Myko for short) with a skater themed baby shower! Our celebration was held just in time; Myko wanted to make an early appearance, and Jennifer gave birth 10 days later! Everyone at FDA is so excited for Jen and Anton as they become new parents. Congrats!

SMPS Atlanta Panel - Film & TV Market

Jennifer was invited to speak at the SMPS Atlanta Panel on Georgia's Leading Film & TV Market with discussion on how it impacts the built environment. As a senior associate here at Foley Design, Jennifer participates in all aspects and phasing of the studio projects, from conception through construction. Some of her studio projects include Trilith Studios Phase 1 through 5, Grange Castle Studios, Hill Country Studios, Blue Star Studios, Dunaway Gardens, and many more.

Big Bethel Village Grand Reopening

Big Bethel Village is an existing 3-story 104,607 SQ. FT. senior apartment building located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was originally constructed in 2002 but was recently renovated to better serve the community. The grand reopening was held on April 4th to celebrate all of the hard work that went into making Big Bethel Village a home to many members of the 55+ community in the west side of Atlanta. There are a total of 120 units with a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

The Wescott

The Wescott is a 4 story, 120-unit market rate senior apartment complex located on 4.28 acres in Canton, Georgia. Residents have access to amenities such as a pool, outdoor pavilion, cabana, first floor lounge, fitness room, and a sky lounge with an outdoor patio and fireplace. The total square footage of this building is 167,863 Gross SF and has a unit mix of 1 bedroom and one bath units, two bedroom and two bath units, and two bedroom and two bath units.

Studio Site Visit

Jennifer, Jeremy, and Savanna went out on site to check the progress of construction of this studio project. This project is currently in Phase 5 and includes 8 stages, totaling in 190,000 SF, 100,000 SF of office space, and 100,000 SF of workshop space; it is a grand total of 390,000 SF.  The stages are constructed using pre-engineered steel roof trusses on concrete tilt-up wall panels. The offices are steel framing with chevron bracing and pre-engineered roof joists. The warehouses are pre-engineered metal buildings with textured wall panels and a standing seam metal roof.
