In the past few years, Foley Design & our structural consultants have been specifying a precast floor system called hollowcore (a voided precast/prestressed concrete floor plank). Because of our continued use, a few of us got to tour the hollowcore manufacturing plant called Coreslab located here in Jonesboro, Georgia. Above are a few photos showing the plant where they process, pre-tension, extrude, cut, lift, store and then transport the hollowcore. Interesting indeed...
