Spotlight on new members of the Foley Crew!

The Foley Crew has grown over the past several months!

Please enjoy getting to know our newest team members by reading a hand full of personal and fun Q&A.

From left to right in the group photo we have:

Rossana Franco

Joined Foley’s Architecture Studio in May of this year as an Intern Architect.

How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as a calm easy-going person that loves to learn. I love learning new things especially within architecture from construction to code to design.

What is a personal goal you want to accomplish with FDA?

I would love to expand my knowledge on all architecture related topics! Getting out in the field on job sites to understand how a building is truly built in person, construction technicalities and such. I would love to just grow in all aspects of architectural knowledge to be able to contribute as much as I can to the FDA team.

Where did you go to school, or where are you currently?

For my undergrad Architectural studies, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida (GO GATORS). I am now continuing on with my master’s degree at Georgia Tech and will complete that in the summer of 2022.

What’s your favorite season and why?

I think my favorite season would have to be Spring. Coming out of the cold and into warmth is such an awesome feeling!

Savanna Wheeler

Has been with Foley’s Architecture Studio for 3 years.  She recently graduated from Georgia Tech with her Master of Architecture and started full time as an Intern Architect!

What’s your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is fall because nothing beats a good campfire and smores.

Emma Zipf

Joined Foley’s Interior Studio in May of this year as an Interior Design Intern.

How would you describe yourself?

I am bright and bubbly with a side of spunk. I am a hard worker and I can do anything I set my mind to. Never under estimate the short strong women!

What is a personal goal you want to accomplish with FDA?

I really hope to learn more about Healthcare design in general. Also, the opportunity to work with such experienced designers and architects is truly an incredible opportunity in its self. I have already learned so much about how the design process flows in real life, and so much terminology that I am starting to become more fluent in the language of interior design and architecture.

Where did you go to school, or where are you currently?

I attend Auburn University and I am graduating December of 2021 and will be graduating with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business.

If you had to only eat one type of food forever, what would it be?

Italian food because pizza and pasta are everything. I would really miss sushi and chocolate though.

Kenyada Johnson

Joined Foley’s Architectural Studio in June of this year as a Job Captain.

How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as a fun-loving, vivacious person that loves to travel and learn about other cultures through their music, cuisine, art, and architecture.

What is a personal goal you want to accomplish with FDA?

A personal goal I’d want to accomplish with Foley Design is being able to obtain experience in various project types outside of multi-family. I have over 6 years of experience with working in multi-family projects, it brings a sense of security because I am so familiar with it. I have challenged myself to explore other projects types. I am excited to have already been given the opportunity to do just that with FDA.

Where did you go to school?

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida.

What’s your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is definitely Fall. I love everything about it. From indulging in gut warming soups and stews, to the way the leaves change colors, to being able to wear sweaters, scarves, and boots. I mean there is so much to love!

Jonathan Avila

Joined Foley’s Architectural Studio in March of this year as a Job Captain.

How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as an someone who has way too many interests. I’m always excited to try new things and see new places. As well as picking up new hobbies and trying different foods.

What is a personal goal you want to accomplish with FDA?

Growing as a professional. Getting more experience in residential work and obtaining my license, which the path is a bit longer than normal. Because of my degree being from outside of the U.S.

Where did you go to school?

I went to school at Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua in Panama, Central America.  And My Bachelor’s Degree is in Structural Architecture.

If you had to only eat one type of food forever, what would it be?

If it’s one type of food as a menu Item, I guess it would be Tacos. They can be assembled or disassembled, that way I can trick myself into not going mad from eating the same thing for Life.

Taylor Pounds

Joined Foley’s Land Planning Studio in February of this year as the Director of Land Planning.

How would you describe yourself?

Down to Earth, Passionate, Competitive, Glass half-full kind of guy

What is a personal goal you want to accomplish with FDA?

I walked into a great position with FDA’s project base already being in multiple markets all over the country (and world).  My goal is to continue this growth by surrounding myself with talented staff, continuing to deliver successful projects for our clients, and growing not only the Land Planning Studio brand, but the Foley Design brand.

Where did you go to school?

Mississippi State University, Hail State!

If you had to only eat one type of food forever, what would it be?

Italian, hands down.
