We Don't Design for "Toenails and a Prayer"

Thanks to PES for teaching us how not to design wood buildings for "toenails and a prayer" at last week's lunch and learn. They taught us that joist hangers are not just suggestions but also taught us an extensive amount about designing Type III & V buildings. For those reading, PES knows their stuff. Hire them or make them come teach you. They are knowledgeable, entertaining, & are all around good peeps. Y'all rock.

Architects Bailando

Last Friday some of the Foley Crew stayed after work to get some salsa lessons from our own two dance guru's-Alain & Amelia. They taught us the ChaCha, Bachata, & Salsa which we promptly took to the Fernbank Salsa night dance floor. Watch out world. Foley Design can not only design you some pretty rad buildings but we can also do the ChaCha while doing it. #chachadesign

Braves Game with Brasfield and Gorrie

Thanks to Brasfield and Gorrie for the great time and company at the Braves Game!!!

Duck Club Social Hour

Another successful Foley outing at a new super secret locale called the Duck Club. Basically, we got the inside info on this super secret club because, you know, we're hip like that. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised, not only at the decor, but the adventure upon arrival. The entry door is located at the back of Rev Coffee Roasters in College Park. It's unmarked and people just know to open the last door on the left. Rev coffee is bright, cheerful, clean & it's juxtaposed with the dark, kitschy, lodgy, hipster feel of the Duck Club.

Employee of the month

We want to commend Clem, our newest addition to Foley Design, for working hard these past few weeks. He always seems to have the same expression no matter what happens. Nothing seems to phase him. His prior job didn't allow him a window and he's actually eager to go on a site visit so that he can get a little color on him. Good ol' Clem, eager and deadpan.
